TOWNSHIP OF LONG HILL
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township Clerk of the Township of Long Hill in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey, in the Long Hill Township Court Room located in the Municipal Building at 915 Valley Road, Gillette, New Jersey on July 31, 2025 at 10 am., prevailing time, and at that time and place publicly opened and read for the
COLLECTION OF SOLID WASTE, RECYCLING & BULK WASTE.
Plans, specifications and proposal forms are on file and open to public inspection at the Township Clerk's Office and may be obtained at the office of the Township Clerk at 915 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ 07933 (908)-647-8000 x215, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, prevailing time, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, Wednesday and 8:30 am and 2:30 pm on Fridays, excluding legal holidays.
Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. Bids may be submitted by mail but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time. The Township of Long Hill will not be responsible for bids received after the deadline.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of PL 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), and PL 1977, c.33. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004,c.57. Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999,c. 238. The contract shall be subject to the Solid Waste Utility Regulations promulgated by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and set forth in Chapter 26H of Title VII of the New Jersey Administrative Code.
The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Township, will be in the best interest of the Township, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. and applicable NJDEP regulations.
