Township of Long Hill

The Long Hill Township Police Department has made some modifications to the
way we will operate during the current State of Affairs.

We want to ensure the public that these modifications are being put in place to protect the public while
at the same time protecting the police officers and civilian staff.

Emergency Calls: Police Officers WILL respond to all urgent emergency calls for service. The Officer(s) may request for you to meet them outside a residence if possible and will maintain a 6 foot safety zone. The 911 system will remain fully operational without delay.

Non-Emergency Calls/Minor Reports: Many of the departments in the State are adjusting their response policies given the Covid-19 outbreak. We implemented a Citizen Reporting module that citizens can be directed to report non-emergency matters that do not require an immediate response. If the call for service is a non-emergency matter, residents now have the option to self-report with explicit instructions at: https://www.frontlinepss.com/LongHillTownship

Medical Calls: Medical calls will continue to be primarily handled by the Long Hill Township First Aid Squad and supported accordingly.  Please don’t be afraid if you see squad members, firefighters, and police officers donning personal protective equipment.  This is not an indication nor should it not be an alarm to neighbors that First Responders are dealing with a positive COVID-19 case.  It’s simply responsible behavior during these times.

Long Hill Township Police Department Headquarters: We would ask that you call the police department 908-647-1800 (X-0), prior to coming to our building, except if it is an emergency. Many times we may be able to help you over the phone or through online resources.

Records Bureau: If you have a records request please call us at 908-647-1800 (Option 1, X-232), visit us at https://www.longhillnj.gov/police/police-records.html, or email us at pfalzarano@longhillpolice.us. Please provide the report number or date and location of the incident.  Discovery and OPRA requests will be processed, however there may be delays in filling these requests.

Fingerprinting Services: All fingerprinting services have been suspended until further notice.

Firearms Applications have been and will ONLY be accepted online: For explicit instructions please visit https://www.longhillnj.gov/police/firearms.html
Be advised there may be delays in processing these applications.

Long Hill Township Health Questions:  Long Hill Township is covered by the Bernards Health Department at http://www.bernardshealth.org/, 908-201-2520

I want to thank the public for understanding that the police department’s physical distancing yet social solidarity is only being done to help slow down the spread of the COVID-19 and does not represent the true relationship we share with this great community. I look forward to the day that we can continue to interact with the public and participate in community events such as the Street Fair & National Night Out. Stay safe, Be Well, and remember We’re In IT Together!

Thank You,
Ahmed Naga
