Read this poem/song written by the "Queen of Stirling Lake".
The tradition continues with the following song written and performed by Lynn K.

"What a Wonderful Lake"

I see sand so soft, beach chairs galore,
Lifeguards watching over us, who could ask for more?
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
Kids playing together, all ages too,
Fishing for prizes and swimming, that's true
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
The colors of the bathing suits, so pretty in the light,
Floats and tubes of people having fun, what a delight!
I see friends reading and laughing, saying, "Let's go swim."
What they really mean is--Stirling Lake reigns supreme!
I hear the ice cream truck bell, all out of the lake,
People in the sand, starting to bake
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
There are so many babies and kids in the sand,
The grownups who watch them, think they are so grand
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
There are kids on the Wibit and adults who try,
They want to finish without falling, that's a reason why
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
There are Georgette and Marge who make the lake fun,
Keeping lakers happy while being in the sun
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
I hear people talk, I watch them smile,
Lakers become family and make the summer worthwhile
And I think to myself...what a wonderful lake.
YES, I KNOW FOR A FACT, IT'S A WONDERFUL LAKE!
Oh Yeah!!!

Thinking about having a birthday party at Stirling Lake?
Lake Members can host a birthday party at the lake.  We ask that you follow these guidelines:
*Please let our Stirling Lake staff know when you want to do it during lake hours; approximately how many people and the ages of kids coming.
*You can purchase guest passes at the gate for $12 each person (all ages) or come by the Recreation Office during Town Hall hours and purchase a book of 10 Guest Passes for $82.  (Please note, Guest Passes are not refundable and must be used during the season which they were purchased.)
*When you arrive, you can decorate 1/2 of the pavilion and use up to two tables under the pavilion.  Guests are welcome to use the playground, but please keep in mind it is also open to other Stirling Lake Members and residents.  All amenities are open to guests provided they pass a Deep Water Test for those areas where one is required.
*Please clean up/remove all decorations when done and dispose of all garbage properly.
*May all your wishes come true!*
